Hank Fuseler is a studio artist, photographer, designer, food & beverage consultant, event specialist, professional hospitalitarian and tour guide based in Asheville, NC. He was born and raised in Columbia, SC and subsequently attended the University of South Carolina studying English Literature and History while working at a law firm. Post-college he began working in the restaurant industry and started experimenting with film photography and painting. In 2000 Hank set up his first art studio while living on the New Jersey shore and began exhibiting art upon returning to Columbia in 2001. By 2005 he was an established figure in the Columbia art and culinary communities when he relocated to Asheville, NC.
It was a choice time to arrive in the mountain city where the vibrantly budding arts and restaurant scenes were about to explode. Hank established a studio in the commercial district of West Asheville and over the next decade got to work with a number of the up and coming chefs, bartenders and restaurateurs integral to the creation of a now nationally recognized food and beverage destination.
Since 2014 Hank has worked independently as a craft beverage caterer, consultant for restaurants and country clubs, director of operations of a food tour company, event manager and producer, documentary photographer, teacher, and short term rental manager. He has worked for and with numerous James Beard Award nominated chefs, won awards for drink design, and has volunteered extensively for multiple nonprofit organizations serving as a program manager and board member.
